Farmer Wants A Wife's Andrew reveals clash over money led to split with Claire
The Farmer Wants A Wife fan favourites shocked fans after cancelling their wedding earlier this year.
Farmer Wants A Wife's Andrew Coleman has revealed his side of his breakup with Claire Saunders, saying money and social media were partially to blame for the split. It comes after Claire said the relationship became strained after Andrew's father fell seriously ill.
However, Andrew says this is not the reason for the two parting ways. Speaking about the day that should have been his wedding day, Andrew told Woman's Day he threw himself into work, saying it's "been a really tough and stressful time".
Andrew reveals shock after Claire cancelled the wedding without telling him
"In the lead-up, I just made sure that I had a lot of sheep work to do. There was obviously an element of sadness around it all, and to take my mind off it I tried to put my focus somewhere else," he told the publication.

Andrew added that he believes that despite the pain, he feels like the pair made "the right decision" to move forward with their lives, adding that he learned a lot from the relationship.
"Good communication is of the utmost importance," he said, saying the lack of communication didn't help their relationship.
Andrew shares that Claire had an extended stay in Tasmania and when she came back to the farm, she asked him how he felt about the wedding.
"During that conversation, I expressed some doubts about getting married, and I remember saying I felt like something had changed, but I didn’t know what," he said, adding that he thought everything was fine.
"But the next day I was at a field day and Claire texted me saying she’d cancelled the wedding – and she’d already informed her family and friends and that I probably should come home," he said. "When I got back, Claire was quite upset, as was I. She told me she had work to go to in Darwin and I was quite shocked and confused – when I left that morning, I thought things were OK!"
Andrew added that when Claire publicly announced the cancellation of the wedding on social media in July, he hadn't even told guests, including some family members, who were "shocked".
He added that the pair "clashed" over "financial awareness" and "social media use". Andrew added, "It revealed a few differences there that weren’t really compatible for a long-term relationship."
The farmer also shared that his father's illness was absolutely not the reason behind the cancellation, but they had planned on moving the wedding forward for this reason.
After all of this, Andrew isn't ruling out returning to Farmer Wants A Wife, saying he'd probably give it another go if he knew he'd meet his ideal partner.
Claire's side of the split
Claire spoke about the split earlier this month, saying that due to the last-minute cancellation, many of her friends couldn't get refunds on flights, so they still made the trip to Sydney. Speaking with WHO, Claire said, "They all bumped into each other at the airport. It was weird."
"I was at home with the bridesmaids' dresses and the cowboy boots we’d bought and then the wedding topper turned up in the post."
Claire tells the publication that it was a reminder that she not only lost the man she was "fully in love with" but also the life they had together on his farm in Narromine, NSW.

"I never thought of my life away from Andrew and the farm when I was there. It’s the only time in my life I’ve not had a plan B," she said. "It’s not been easy but breakups are not easy, especially when you really love someone."
"I cancelled the wedding in July. You can’t make someone marry you," she added. "He wanted some space so I went to Darwin for the dry season and the wheels really fell off after that. We’re not in contact now at all. It’s been a terrible time."
While Claire said that the pair aren't in touch, Andrew says they are and that their exchanges are "amicable".
