Fan favourite Farmer Wants A Wife stars David and Emily are officially engaged with the pair sharing the news on Instagram.
"Incredibly proud to announce, this Farmer has found his Wife," David wrote alongside a sweet snap of himself and Emily after he'd popped the question. Yahoo Lifestyle has also obtained a photo of the moment he got down on one knee, leaving Emily completely stunned.
David decided the only place he could ask Emily to marry him was at Mudgee's Evamor Valley, the same place where they had their 24-hour solo date.
"There was a moment at Evamor, when we were having a glass of wine as the sun was setting and I just knew this was something special," David said in a statement to Yahoo Lifestyle. "So, it was really important for me that when l asked Em to marry me, it had to be at Evamor Valley - the spot is just such a special part of our journey."
Emily was in complete surprise when David proposed, saying, "It was just such a surreal moment - David kept the secret very well. I had absolutely no clue!"
"Just to return to Evamor Valley was so incredible - it brought back so many memories of our solo date and those early feelings between us. Evamor will always be such an important spot for us- it's a place we hold really dear to our hearts."
David and Emily spent their first overnight stay at Evamor Valley, paddle boarding and enjoying the sunset views from the dam.
Friends and fans shared messages of congratulations on David's Instagram post, with one user writing, "Wow, what a fairytale. Congratulations Em! I can confirm that farmers make the best husbands."
"Congratulations you beautiful people. So exciting," Clare Hockings, who also appeared in this year's season of the show and is expecting her first baby with Farmer Brad, wrote.
"Congratulations!! So happy for you guys!" another user wrote.
"That’s perfect- you make beautiful couple," someone else added.
"What a beautiful story— so thrilled for you," another said.
The couple has been together for around ten months, with David announcing in June they were celebrating their six-month anniversary.
After filming wrapped in December last year, Emily moved from Brisbane to Pozieres, Queensland, to be with David.
