Fans React to Taylor Swift’s ‘Iconic’ Lyric Change While Performing Classic Hit Song in London

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour continues to have many memorable surprise moments, and the latest featured a lyric change of one of the singer's classic hit songs, "Mean."

During her second night in London, England, performing at Wembley Stadium, Swift debuted the track "thanK you aIMee" from The Tortured Poets Department in the surprise song section of the show, saying, "It really makes me think about how every time someone talks s---, it just makes me work even harder and it makes me even tougher. So, it also makes me incredibly thankful for those people.”

While her first time performing the song live was exciting enough, Swift decided to combine it with "Mean" from the album Speak Now in an exciting mashup.

As fans sang along to the popular track, the 34-year-old surprised her fans again by changing the line, "Someday I'll be big enough so you can't hit me," to "Someday I'll be singing this song at Wembley," leading the crowd to cheer and shout.

One fan shared a clip of the concert moment on X, writing, "end them one more time for me taylor."

Many praised the star for the move, writing things like, "Iconic queen," "I. Have. Chills. 😍🔥," and "Taylor Swift continues to serve revenge for all of us."

"This is one of my favorite TS songs and this is a fantastic lyric adaptation," declared a Swiftie, as another said, "Oooh... I didn't catch this great lyric change."

"I love her with my entire heart," read a different comment, while more Swifties wrote, "at the end of the day she’s in a league of her own 🥂," and "Proud of her 🤗 What a journey its been and now she's on top of the world enjoying her everlasting success."

After London, Swift will head to Dublin, Ireland for a few shows followed by Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
