Carly Pearce fans know the country singer/songwriter is one for being real, whether she’s being transparent about news about her health or wearing her heart on her sleeve in lyrics inspired by the heartbreak of past relationships. They’ve also become accustomed to seeing her with picture-perfect, long and wavy tresses, and on that topic, the “We Don’t Fight Anymore” singer recently took to Instagram to clear up a misconception.
“for all you gals who tell me every night how pretty my hair is.. it’s fake!!! this is my hair without any extensions. here’s to normalizing what’s real and what isn’t & being okay with it,” Carly wrote, sharing a selfie revealing straight hair just past her shoulders. “And I’ll send any of you the link if you want all that hair 😉🫶🏼,” she added.
Fans were quick to jump into the comments section to express approval.
“You’re beautiful with or without the hair❤️! We all love you for YOU!!! And for sharing your songs with us,” said one. Others added, “Ahhhh powerful message by a beautiful person with a platform! 🥰 love this, thanks for sharing!” and “😍 you’re amazing and I so appreciate the honesty.”

It was also revealed in the comments that Nashville hair stylist Lacey Campbell (@laceyshaline), who specializes in extensions and blonde coloring according to her profile, styled Carly’s hair the day of the pic, presumably right after removing the extensions. When Lacey commented “Just as beautiful!!! 🙌❤️,” Carly replied, “This is the day you did my blow out 😂.” (FYI, Lacey’s Instagram profile says she is currently not accepting new clients.)
So, in summary, fake hair? Carly Pearce fans don’t care.
