Fans notice sweet detail in Kaley Cuoco's baby announcement: 'Miracle'

Kaley Cuoco has announced the birth of her first child with her boyfriend Tom Pelphrey.

The Big Bang Theory actress, 37, took to Instagram on Sunday morning to share the news that she had welcomed a baby girl into the world on Thursday.

“Introducing, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, the new light of our lives!” she wrote.

“We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle. Thank you to the doctors, nurses, family and friends who have helped us immensely over the last few days. We are blessed beyond belief.”

Kaley ended the post with a sweet message to her partner, adding: “@tommypelphrey didn’t think I could fall even more in love with you, but I did.”

The Emmy-nominated star also shared a gallery of snaps alongside the heartfelt caption, with the first photo showing her newborn wrapped in a red, white and blue striped hospital blanket wearing a pink beanie with a large bow on the front.

Other snaps include selfies of Kaley and her daughter lying in the hospital bed, Tommy holding Matilda, and the family of three smiling for a photo together.

Kaley’s famous followers quickly took to the comments to congratulate her arrival, including Zooey Deschanel, Hilary Duff and Ashley Tisdale.

“Awwwww. Yay for you guys! Congrats, Kaley!” Chelsea Handler wrote, while Lisa Rinna said, “She’s gorgeous!!! Congratulations!!!!!”.

“So so amazing. Over the moon for you,” Daniella Monet shared. “Always felt your nurturing nature, Matilda’s a lucky girl.”

A number of fans also pointed out a sweet detail in one of the photos, with Tom wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with ‘Waltzing Matilda’ while holding Matilda in his arms.

“Being from Australia it is pretty cool to see that you picked that name and then to see the Waltzing Matilda t-shirt was pretty cool,” one person commented. “You will have to sing the song to her or hum the tune to her so she learns it. It’s our unofficial national anthem but it is now her song too.”

“As a fellow Australian, I agree. Love the name,” someone else said, followed by another Australian who added, “And just like that little Matilda became one of us. Congrats to her parents”.

Kaley and Tom, who stars in Ozark and Outer Range, first went public with their relationship in May last year and announced their pregnancy five months later.

The Flight Attendant actress, who was previously married to Ryan Sweeting and Karl Cook, told Extra in October that she and Tom met because they share the same management team.

“My manager actually took me as her guest to the Ozark premiere, and I met him there,” she shared. “It was like the angels started singing. I was like, ‘Hallelujah’. It was very magical… It was perfect.”
