Robert opens up about continuing his dad's legacy
It comes after the conservationist shared his excitement over his new gig on I'm A Celeb with Yahoo Lifestyle.
“I never thought this would happen. It just feels like an incredibly surreal full circle moment and a very big honour,” he told us.
“It’s unexpected, but then at the same time when you really think about it, it's perfect. Like, it kind of makes sense, it’s sort of a natural fit. In a way it’s so new for me, but also what I've been doing since I was hatched out of the egg.”
Robert shares that it was “the most humbling thing” when he was approached to join the series, and he immediately said ‘yes’ once he was offered the gig.
“I'm a huge fan of the show, so being able to step onto that is just a privilege and a real honour,” he says.

One of the biggest reasons why Robert wanted to take on the role was to not only carry on with his family’s legacy but also continue establishing his own.
“I love that I have a real purpose and a legacy that I get to continue from my family, and my dad particularly, and I get to create my own - of wildlife conservation, of fun, of passion and positivity,” he details.
“And no show does it better than I'm A Celebrity when it comes to just fun, family, positive, let’s give it a go. Plus, every contestant’s working for a charity.”
