I'm A Celeb fans left in tears after heartbreaking moment between Matty J and Reggie Sorensen

There wasn't a dry eye in the house after last night's episode of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! The show aired a sweet but heartbreaking scene between contestants Matty 'J' Johnston and Reggie Sorenson (Bird) where the two former reality TV stars discussed Reggie's degenerative eye condition, retinitis pigmentosa, which has caused her to become legally blind.

Reggie, who has won Big Brother twice, and Matty J who first found fame on The Bachelorette before going on to become The Bachelor, had an emotional chat at the campsite, where Matty asked about Reggie's condition.

Matty said it may be an "obvious" question, before asking Reggie if she was "scared" about the deterioration of her eyesight.

"I reckon I will probably change when it's all totally gone," Reggie shared. "I won't be able to do as much as I do now."

"What will you miss the most do you think?" Matty then asked, with Reggie saying, "Seeing the kids, I think. I'll miss the kids. I'll never know when it's my last day that I'm able to see again."

The answer left Matty emotional, with the star later saying in his confessional that it puts things into perspective.

"Knowing what Reggie has gone through, she's a mum who is afraid of never being able to see her kids again because she's going blind," Matty, who has two children with partner Laura Byrne, said through tears. "All of sudden, my struggles seem so insignificant."

Many fans of the show were left moved and also in tears after the emotional conversation, praising both Matty and Reggie for their candid chat.

"I love that Matty didn’t shy away from asking Reggie and being curious in a gentle way," one person said. "A lot of people don’t know what to say to disabled people so stick to surface level convo. This was wholesome."

"This made me cry. A lot. Never have I ever been hit with such a dose of perspective!" another commented. "Tears rolling down my face, love you Reggie xx" another fan said.

"Such a beautiful, heartbreaking moment," someone else commented, with another agreeing, "Two beautiful human beings right there."

Some fans watching were unaware of Reggie's condition, and were thankful for her story to be told.
