Are there Avengers: Doomsday spoilers?
Beware of spoilers from prior MCU projects as well as Avengers: Doomsday before reading on!
In an interview, former Avengers: The Kang Dynasty screenwriter Jeff Loveness revealed that ring technology plays a role in Kang's story and that Easter eggs were planted in Doctor Strange In the Multi-Verse of Madness, specifically in Reed Richards' teleportation as part of his Illuminati meeting.
"I guess this gets into spoiler territory," Loveness told Backstory, "but I’m sure people have picked up the fact of like, ’Oh, he has ring technology. That’s interesting. Or, he’s got, ‘Oh, those glyphs look a little similar.’ So, I think we’ll be seeing that Kang has had his fingerprints on the MCU for a long time."
The rings and glyphs likely also tie into Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings as well as Kamala Khan's bangles from Ms. Marvel and The Marvels.
However, that was all stated prior to Majors' dismissal and McFeely being brought on to write a new screenplay, so it remains to be seen if the ring technology will play into Avengers: Doomsday now.
