Khloé Kardashian Says If She Leaves the House in This Item of Clothing Mom Kris Jenner “Gets Mad at Me”

When it comes to her personal style, Khloé Kardashian calls hers “modernly sexy”—but sometimes, much to her mother Kris Jenner’s chagrin, she leaves the house in sweats.

Kardashian told The Sunday Times on February 16 that “My mom won’t leave home without looking perfect. She gets mad at me if I’ve rolled out of the house in baggy sweats. She’ll just look me up and down.”

Jenner’s aesthetic is similar to Kardashian’s grandmothers, who the Good American founder said she looked up to: “Both of my grandmothers and my mom were always so chic,” Kardashian told the outlet. “I have never seen either of my grandmothers with a hair out of place.”

“My dad’s mom had such exquisite jewelry and was always put together, and my mom’s mom, MJ, owned a boutique and always looked fabulous and presentable,” she continued.

When it comes to her style, Kardashian said she likes to “mix it up” and play “different characters”—and doesn’t stick to one designer.

“I’m not especially loyal to one brand,” she said. “My mom is the opposite. She’s like, ‘I’m a Tom Ford girl at the moment.’ For me, it’s whatever looks good. The other day I wore this Alaïa catsuit with sheer tights and a built-in bodysuit, and I loved it.”

When it comes to the fashion advice she gives True Thompson, her daughter with ex Tristan Thompson who will turn 7 in April, “Don’t follow the trends,” she said. “I’m so proud of my nieces—the older ones. You know how some younger girls are wearing provocative things these days? They’re like, ‘We don’t want to wear that, we’re too young for that.’ They’re into their Billie Eilish baggy clothes, and I love that confidence in them.”

“So march to the beat of your own drum,” Kardashian added—even if, in her case, her mom gives her a hard time about it.
