Aussie singer goes viral after getting a tattoo of Harry Styles on her face
There’s fandom, and then there’s getting a huge tattoo of your idol on your face.
Gold Coast-raised singer, Kelsy Karter, posted a photo to Instagram showing Harry Styles’s face tattooed on her cheek, with the caption, “Mama, look what I made me do.”
She tagged Styles and Los Angeles-based tattoo artist Romeo Lacoste, making her new ink appear very real.
The stunt has created a lot of buzz just in time for the release of her new single, “Harry,” which came out on Monday. “I’m gonna make you love me,” she sings about the rock star.

“I feel like it’s so irresponsible for a tattoo artist to agree to this just for ‘clout’ (as the kids would say),” one person commented on Karter’s post.
Another wrote, “Hope it’s fake, look absolutely stupid beyond crazy.”
Based on the timing, many assume it’s a hoax.
“This has got to be fake..all for publicity to make everyone loose their s***..so she gets more likes etc any publicity is good publicity they say,” commenter ginja_ninjaa wrote.
A lot of others chimed in to point out that the tattoo doesn’t even look like Styles.
“The tattoo looks more like Frankie Cocozza than bloody Harry Styles,” itsameyyx said. Jimmygerrard added, “I honestly thought it was the dude from Stranger Things at first.”
The 24-year-old singer tweeted earlier in January that she “finally” knew what to get Styles for his birthday, which is Feb. 1.
Finally know what I’m getting Harry for his birthday….

She told i-D in July last year that she really wants to work with Styles at some point.
“Let’s work, Harry. Where you at? Mark my words: I’m getting a song on his album.”
She explained that from a professional standpoint, she appreciates that he was “the poppiest of pop stars” but broke out to record his own classic rock album. She essentially wants to be the female version of him, she said.
Although she hasn’t worked with Styles yet, she has written a song for a former One Direction member, Zayn Malik.
He reportedly picked up a song she pitched him, but at the time of the interview in July, she hadn’t yet heard his version.
Karter makes “vintage-influenced pop and soul with a contemporary twist,” according to All Music.
Born in New Zealand, she was raised in Australia before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a music career. She’s released multiple singles, including “Too Many Hearts to Break” and “Catch Me if You Can,” which came out before “Harry.”
