Yahoo Lifestyle Erin Krakow's Rare Personal Update Has Hallmark Fans' Hearts Melting
Erin Krakow's character is writing a new love story on When Calls the Heart season 12, but at home, she's celebrating life's little moments with her boyfriend Ben Rosenbaum.
The actors both star in the latest season of the hit Hallmark drama, where their characters Elizabeth Thornton and Mike Hickam are in separate, loving romantic relationships. In real life, though, the couple has been together for quite a while. The two even adopted a dog, Willoughby, in January 2023.
Well, folks got a sweet look at all three in 2025, as Erin shared private moments of their life in a series of images on Instagram. As she uploaded photos of her, Ben and Willoughby ringing in the new year together, she included a simple caption about their time together.
"Happy New Year! 🥳," she sweetly wrote.
Naturally, seeing Erin and Ben's rare life update had When Calls the Heart fans excited, and they shared well wishes in the comments.
"Well you all are just the cutest. Happy New Year to you and your little fam! 🎉🥂," one person wrote. "The family picture makes my heart all sorts of happy," another penned. "Awe, so sweet! A very Happy New Year to you both! ❤️," a different follower added.
What a cute way to kick off the new year! And let's not forget — this isn't the only time folks have seen what's going on off-camera for this Hallmark couple. Erin has been known to post here and there about her and Ben's romance, while also hanging out with some of their When Calls the Heart stars behind the scenes as well. The couple notably went on a double date with Kevin McGarry (who plays Nathan Grant) and Landman star Kayla Wallace (who played Fiona Miller from seasons 6 through 10), and Erin documented the experience for fans to enjoy online.
