Drew Starkey Debuts Another Style Makeover With Darkened Eyebrows and Bleach Blond Haircut in Loro Piana Suit at 2025 National Board of Review Awards

Drew Starkey suited up for the National Board of Review Gala red carpet on Tuesday in New York City. The actor celebrated his costar, Daniel Craig, who was honored during the event with the Best Actor prize for his work in the film “Queer.”

Starkey wore a black suit courtesy of Loro Piana. The “Outer Banks” actor’s look featured tailored, tapered black trousers, which seamlessly coordinated with his double breasted blazer, featuring sharp lapels.

Starkey paired the black suit with a white, button-down dress shirt. He completed his attire with black patent leather shoes. As for his accessories, Starkey got a bit more creative. The actor opted for a statement-making watch and wore an earring.

The red carpet look also highlighted the actor’s bleached hair style. He debuted a lighter iteration of his new ‘do and eyebrows at W Magazine’s Annual Best Performances Party in Los Angeles on Saturday. In only a few days, Starkey changed the eyebrows to a darker tone.

Starkey’s role in “Queer” marks a breakout moment for the actor, who’s been promoting the film for the last several months. “I was a bit nervous going into it that I wouldn’t be able to handle it,” Starkey told WWD last December, referencing the sweeping attention that comes with such a career milestone.

“I get very overstimulated pretty easily by attention and a lot of people, but it’s been good having Luca and Daniel and Jonathan and all these great people. Us being together throughout all of it has made it really, really light and really fun,” he said.

Starkey not only collaborated with Guadagnino on building his character, Eugene Allerton, for “Queer.” The actor also worked in tandem with Jonathan Anderson, who serves as the film’s costume designer — the creative director of Loewe’s second collaboration with Guadagnino following “Challengers.”

“Sometimes you get a character and it’s very specific about who this person is and the world they live in, and you start adding physical things on. This was different,” Starkey said of his role.

“I started with this physical molding of this person’s image I had in my head, and then that kind of informed the rest. It’s a really cool way to prep and work. Working with Jonathan was such a key component to that, too: he had very specific ideas of what he wanted. Both he and Luca really understand the psychology behind clothing.”

After working together on “Queer,” Anderson cast Starkey in a fall 2024 campaign for Loewe.
