Don Cheadle Hilariously Addresses Apparent Mocking Of Him During Obama's DNC Speech

Don Cheadle’s deadpan response to what appeared to be the lighthearted shade that was thrown at him during the Democratic National Convention earned lots of laughs from the audience on Seth Meyers’ “Late Night” show Thursday.

The moment in question came when a camera operator cut to Cheadle in the audience after former President Barack Obama had warned about a possible second Donald Trump presidency by saying, “We do not need four more years of bluster and bumbling and chaos. We have seen that movie before and we all know that the sequel is usually worse.”

The cutaway was widely interpreted to be a dig at “Ocean’s 12,” the criticized sequel to the acclaimed “Ocean’s 11” heist movie. Cheadle appeared in both.

Meyers aired the Obama moment to Cheadle, who is a longtime friend and supporter of Vice President and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.

The actor could only stare in silence, and say: “What’s up with that?”

“Why’s the cameraman got to do you like that?” joked Meyers, before they both cracked gags about how Cheadle should have responded ― and how it’s not the only time he’s been ripped for appearing in the film.
