During the Jan. 16 episode of their podcast Sorry We're Cyrus, the mother-daughter duo chatted about Brandi's new boyfriend, who happens to be Australian — like Miley Cyrus' ex-husband.
"Men are trash. The majority of them are absolute garbage," Brandi, 37, said. "But there's a couple of good ones out there, I guess. I think I found one, so I love that for me."
Tish, 57, said she is "so happy" for her daughter in response, adding that she has her "hopes up" for Matt, the boyfriend in question.

Tish continued: "You know what, he's Australian. I'm not gonna rag on American men, but Australian men are just different."
"Well, not all of them," Brandi countered, to which Tish agreed with her. The two then looked at each other and laughed before Tish said they would move on to the next subject.

Miley, 32, had been with Australian actor Hemsworth, 35, on-and-off for 10 years. The former couple met in 2019 while filming The Last Song. They ultimately got married in December 2018 and then split up in August 2019. They finalized their divorce in January 2020.
The "Flowers" singer reflected on her marriage to the Hunger Games star during a December 2020 appearance on The Howard Stern Show. Miley said at the time that she still loved Hemsworth "very much" and "always will," but "there was too much conflict.
Miley also dated another Australian man, singer Cody Simpson, from October 2019 to August 2020.

"He calms her down. She thrives with him," the insider said. "She finds him talented and inspiring. They have a lot of fun together."
Hemsworth, meanwhile, has been romantically connected to girlfriend Gabriella Brooks since late 2019 and made their first public appearance together in June 2021.
