Dexter: Resurrection Adds Uma Thurman as Special Ops Vet
Uma Thurman has booked a killer new role: The Oscar-nominated actress will star opposite Michael C. Hall in Dexter: Resurrection, which is set to premiere this summer on Paramount+ With Showtime.
The Kill Bill vet will play Charley, “the head of security for mysterious billionaire Leon Prater,” according to the official character breakdown. “A former Special Ops officer, Charley worked various high-level private security jobs before taking on her position as the resourceful and meticulous right-hand woman for Prater.”

Thurman joins an ensemble that includes fellow franchise returnees David Zayas (as Detective Angel Batista), James Remar (as Harry Morgan) and Jack Alcott (as Harrison Morgan).
An official synopsis for Dexter: Resurrection is not yet available, but the series will be a follow-up to 2021’s Dexter: New Blood and be set in the present day. The series is executive-produced by Clyde Phillips (Dexter, Dexter: Original Sin), who returns as showrunner. Hall is also an EP.
A prequel series, Dexter: Original Sin, launched Dec. 13. The series premiere revealed that present-day Dexter was being medically treated for the gunshot wound we thought had killed him.
New episodes of Original Sin continue to be released every Friday on Paramount+ With Showtime, with its finale set to stream Feb. 14; episodes also air Sunday nights on the Paramount+ With Showtime cable network.
