Dexter: Resurrection Adds Peter Dinklage — Who’s He Playing?

A Game of Thrones vet is about to face off against a cold-blooded killer: Peter Dinklage has joined the cast of the Dexter sequel series Resurrection, TVLine has learned.

Although no official synopsis is available yet for the Michael C. Hall-led New Blood continuation, Dinklage is set to play billionaire venture capitalist Leon Prater. “To the world, Leon is a generous philanthropist, but behind his polished exterior lies dark intrigue,” reads the character’s official description. Prater may even be the season’s main antagonist.

Dinklage will share many scenes with another new cast member, Uma Thurman, who will play the head of security for the mysterious Prater. The two actors join an ensemble of franchise returnees that includes David Zayas (as Detective Angel Batista), James Remar (as Harry Morgan) and Jack Alcott (as Harrison Morgan). The series is set to premiere some time this summer.

Dexter: Resurrection will be executive-produced by Clyde Phillips (DexterDexter: Original Sin), who also returns as showrunner. Hall is on board as an additional EP.

Prequel series Dexter: Original Sin will release its Season 1 finale this Friday, Feb. 14, on the Paramount+ With Showtime streamer; the episode will air on the linear Paramount+ With Showtime Sunday, Feb. 16 at 10/9c. In its premiere we learned that the titular serial killer was alive and being medically treated for the gunshot wound we thought had killed him. (Harrison fired that bullet in New Blood’s finale.)

Our sister site Deadline was first to report the news.
