Demi Moore was decked out in Giorgio Armani Privé embellished with Swarovski crystals for the Golden Globes 2025 red carpet, but she was missing one familiar accessory.

The actress, 62, nominated for best female performer in a comedy film category for her body-horror satire The Substance, left her beloved dog Pilaf back in the L.A. hotel where she got ready.

“I sadly had to leave her up in the hotel,” Moore told E! Live From the Red Carpet host Zuri Hall when asked about her micro-Chihuahua. “We could have gotten her [a credential] but I felt like it might've been a little much for her.”

“But I feel naked without her, I do. She was with me the entire time we shot [The Substance], and the most magical thing is regardless of the prosthetics, no matter what I came back from the makeup trailer looking like, she always knew it was me, which tells me that she knows who I really am no matter what.”

The 1.2-lb. Pilaf, which Moore adopted during the COVID pandemic, is often in the actress’s arms (or designer bag).

"I can take Pilaf everywhere. She’s literally been to Broadway shows, museums, the French Open, art openings, restaurants,” Moore told Vogue last summer. “She’s a service animal, so she’s allowed to go everywhere. She’s flown to Europe 14 times."

Asked about the strangest place she ever took Pilaf, Moore replied, “We almost got thrown out of the Sisi Museum in Vienna [until] I found her official card because I didn’t register her. She saw Romeo and Juliet with Tom Holland — loved it. She saw Funny Girl, and Appropriate with Sarah Paulson.”

Moore also told the outlet that Pilaf has a celebrity lookalike. “I think she looks like a cross between a goldfish and Bette Davis,” she said, adding that the dog is a good judge of character.

“One of her best qualities is her instinctive sense of going to complete strangers like she has something to give them that they need,” Moore says, “So I usually let her do it.”'
