David Foster is opening up about his new year of life!
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at his 75th birthday bash You're the Inspiration: David Foster produced by Live Nation-Hewitt Silva at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday, Nov. 3, the record producer and composer — who turned 75 on Nov. 1 — spoke about his celebrations.
"It’s kind of a blur. You know, we had a big fundraiser last night, on rehearsal day, on my birthday on Friday,” he says. “So it hasn't caught up with me. I haven't really celebrated my birthday yet, but last night was a big blowout for my foundation.”
He continues, “And tonight, of course, is the concert. And I think maybe tomorrow I'll think that I've just turned 75.”

Foster also revealed that his wife Katharine McPhee treated him to a lot of gifts for his birthday.
“Oh, she bought me a lot of presents. She's great. She's been amazing,” he says. “And of course, we have our 3-year-old that keeps us busy and gets us up in the morning!"

Foster shares 3½-year-old son Rennie with McPhee, 40. He’s also father to daughters Allison, 54, Amy, 51, Sara, 43, Erin, 42, Jordan, 39, from previous relationships.
Asked about he and McPhee hitting the milestones of 75 and 40 this year, Foster tells PEOPLE, “She's fine, and I don't even think about it either. You know, I'm just groovin.”

Meanwhile, Foster’s Sunday night bash was one to remember, featuring performances from McPhee, Kristin Chenoweth, Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublé and Jennifer Hudson.
Back in June, Foster spoke to PEOPLE about his 75th birthday plans.
"You know how some ideas just come up at a restaurant or whatever? I think it was my manager Mark who said, 'We should do something for your birthday!'" he said.
"He started asking people if they'd come and gosh, they all started saying yes. It's a big deal for them to do this and it's still taxing on their schedule so I appreciate it very much," he continued. "So it's going to be the big blow-up."
