These Jokes About The Escaped Monkeys In South Carolina Are, Unfortunately, Very Funny
If you've been avoiding the internet this past week, you might not know about the escaped lab monkeys in South Carolina.
Yes, escaped lab monkeys.
Forty-three rhesus macaque monkeys escaped from a research facility in Yemassee, South Carolina, on Wednesday after an employee accidentally left a door open.
Yemassee Police Chief Gregory Alexander told the AP, "They are not infected with any disease whatsoever. They are harmless and a little skittish."
On Saturday, officials caught one monkey.
On Sunday, they caught 24 more.
And at the time of publishing this, there are still 18 monkeys running free.
The AP says that these monkeys have been "subjects of human research since the 1800s."
