David Beckham's alleged mistress shares cryptic response to affair claims

Rebecca Loos has found herself back in the spotlight once again.

David Beckham's alleged mistress and former assistant, Rebecca Loos, has found herself back in the spotlight again thanks to the release of the former footballer's Netflix documentary, Beckham.

Rebecca and David allegedly had an affair in 2003, when the footballer was living in Spain, while his wife Victoria Beckham was living in the UK with their sons Brooklyn and Romeo.

Viewers have taken to social media to question whether or not the affair actually took place, with one user writing, "Nowhere have I seen an admittance that the story was true."

"If it wasn’t true then (the Beckhams) would have sued for defamation," another said, with Rebecca replying with the prayer hands emoji and liking the comment.

Rebecca hits back

Rebecca, who is a yoga and meditation teacher, also questioned her followers recently, asking if she should "speak out" or "keep her head down".

"A part of me wants to continue keeping my head down and getting on with my life, the other part of me wants to speak out," she wrote on her Instagram Stories. "What is your take?"

Unsurprisingly, around 70 per cent of her followers told her to speak out, while the remainder said she should keep her head down.

Rebecca hasn't limited her comments on Instagram, with many flooding her posts with messages of hate or support.

"I don’t know if the affair was true, she was offered crazy money to sell her story, she was young at the time might of thought it seemed like a good idea at the time," one user wrote.

"20 years ago, get over it, people! Leave her alone," another said.

"Not a single one of you gave this woman a second thought over the years till Netflix aired their documentary, yet here you are hiding behind your screens on her page dragging down a woman you don’t even know … do better," a third wrote.

David breaks down over cheating allegations

In Beckham, Victoria, who married David in July 1999, revealed she "resented" him after it was alleged he cheated on her with two women in 2003, adding that it was the "unhappiest in her life".

Victoria told producers of the documentary that she "internalised" the trauma so she could continue supporting David's soccer career.

David moved to Spain in 2003 to play for Real Madrid, while Victoria and their sons stayed in the UK.

During this time, Rebecca and Sarah Marbeck, both of whom aren't named in the documentary, claimed to have had an affair with the footballer. Soon after, Victoria and the boys moved to Spain to be by David's side.

David has always denied claims, but this is the first time the pair has confronted the news.

"It was the hardest period because it felt like the world was against us," she said. "Here’s the thing — we were against each other if I’m being completely honest."

"You know, up until Madrid sometimes it felt like us against everybody else, but we were together, we were connected, we had each other," she added. "But when we were in Spain, it didn’t really feel like we had each other either. And that’s sad. I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me."

"It was an absolute circus — and everyone loves it when the circus comes to town right? Unless you’re in it," Victoria quipped.

David teared up while recalling the moment, saying, "I don’t know how we got through it, in all honesty."

"Victoria is everything to me, to see her hurt was incredibly difficult, but we’re fighters and at that time we needed to fight for each other, we needed to fight for our family," he said. "And what we had was worth fighting for."

He shared that at the time, the rumours affected him so much that it meant he wasn't able to perform on the field, adding he felt "physically sick every day".

A year after David's move to Spain, the pair seemed stronger than ever when they welcomed their third son, Cruz, in February 2005. David and Victoria would later expand their family again in 2011 with their daughter Harper.
