How much money are they being paid?

For the first time since the show premiered back in 2004, the cast members are reportedly being paid the exact same amount.

According to Woman’s Day, the 14 stars are all receiving “just under $50,000” for their appearance in the competition.

“The cast all rehearsed and trained as if they were going to the finale. They all put in the same amount of time, so they were all paid for five weeks of their time,” a source told the publication.

“It was a one-price-fits-all of just under $50,000 each.”

Major change to this year's season

It was announced earlier this year that long-time judge Helen Richey won’t be returning to the show after her husband Robert underwent major surgery.

Sharna Burgess, who briefly served as a judge on the show when it aired on Channel 10, has since taken up her spot on the panel alongside Mark Wilson and Todd McKenney.

Craig Revel Horwood has also replaced Paul Mercurio, who left the show to concentrate on his political career, while hosts Sonia Kruger and Daryl Somers have returned for another season.
