'County Rescue' Returns for Sophomore Season on Great American Family - Get the Scoop

Last year, Great American Family launched their first new original series, County Rescue. The network, run by former Hallmark Channel CEO Bill Abbott, was looking for a series that would resonate with their viewers and they found one with County Rescue. The medical drama, which incorporates an element of faith into its show, follows Dani, an EMT in training as she traverses the trials and tribulations of her job, her relationships, and life.

Even though the first season only had five episodes, it was a big enough hit with Great American Family viewers that a second season was ordered. Here's what we know so far about season 2 of County Rescue.

What is County Rescue about?

With so many medical dramas out there these days, how does one distinguish itself from all the others? For County Rescue, the series incorporates an element of faith. The series lead, Dani (Julia Reilly), believes becoming an EMT is her divine calling, and the pilot includes a scene where Dani prays with a patient she is treating in the field.

What happened in season 1 of County Rescue?

Season 1 of County Rescue saw three probies vying for a single opening. The three try to outwit the others as well as making alliances to better their chances of getting hired all the while saving lives and learning hard lessons on the job.

What will season 2 of County Rescue cover?

In season 2, we continue to follow the paramedics and EMTs of single house through their professional and personal journeys. We'll see who gets the job and what happens to the other two who don't.

How many episodes are there of County Rescue?

Season 1 of County Rescue only had five episodes, but fans can look forward to a 6-episode second season!

Season 2 of County Rescue begins filming in late July 2024.
