In July 2024, a rep for the couple exclusively confirmed with PEOPLE that they were expecting. Their new baby girl joins the duo's daughter Isla, whom they welcomed in October 2022.
"Here we go again!" Taite told PEOPLE. "I can’t believe we get to bring another tiny person into the world."
"Colby and I are so excited to watch Isla become a big sister and to watch these babies grow up together," she continued. "Grateful is an understatement!"
The musician poured all of her excitement into her craft. In May 2024, Taite released her single "Diamond and a Baby," along with the music video, showing her reveling in the joys of motherhood. She teamed up with three-time Grammy award-winning producer and former Taylor Swift collaborator Nathan Chapman, as well as songwriter Parker Welling, for the song.
"Shooting this video was my first time back on a 'set' since becoming a mom," Taite told PEOPLE in an email statement in March 2024. "My husband brought my [at the time, 9-month-old] daughter Isla to be a part of the video in between nap times, and we made it through the day without any meltdowns or blowouts!"
"It’s not lost on me how lucky I am to chase both of my dreams — raising a family and singing songs about real life," she continued. "To me, 'Diamond and a Baby' is the epitome of those worlds colliding."
