Comedian Ken Flores Dead at 28
Comedian Ken Flores, also known as Kenyi Flores, passed away this week. He was 28 years old.
The sad news was confirmed by his family, who posted a statement on Flores' social media account, writing, "It is with great sadness that we confirm the untimely passing of our friend, brother, and son, Kenyi Flores."
The statement went on, with the family writing, "Please respect our privacy at this time as we are all shocked and devastated by this loss." They did not share a cause of death, while TMZ reported that a medical examiner stated that Flores died on Tuesday, Jan. 28.

Many people in the comedy community, along with fans of Flores, shared condolences and tributes in the comments on Instagram, with the comedy club Hollywood Improv writing, "We were honored to give him a stage to share his talent. Sending so much love to his family and the comedy community 🖤🤍."
The establishment also shared its own tribute, posting photos from Flores' time on stage at Hollywood Improv and writing, "We were honored to share your talent on our stages. You were greatness, and it was only a matter of time until the whole world saw it. You were also kind and a tremendous friend to all lucky enough to know you. We love you Ken, thank you for all the laughs. #kenflores #rip."

Comedian Pedro Herrera wrote, "Rising star - see you on the other side bro 💫 🕊️," while comedian and actor Darren Carter said, "Always happy to see and hang with him backstage. May his memory be a blessing ❤️."
Another comedian, Neema Naz, shared the earnest message, "F--k, I was hoping this wasn’t real 😔 What a tragic and devastating loss to the world. Ken was a gem and was going to be a star one day. RIP 🙌🏽💜😢."
The comments were filled with many more kind notes about the late comedian. Flores had just started his 2025 Butterfly Effect tour weeks before his death, beginning in Portland, Ore. Jan. 10 to 12. His next show was scheduled in Phoenix, Ariz. on Jan. 30.
