Christina Haack Congratulates Ex-Husband Ant Anstead on New Show and He Replies with an ‘X’

Exes Christina Haack and Ant Anstead are continuing their newly friendly relationship — both online and off.

In a post to Instagram on Dec. 7, the Christina on the Coast star, 41, gave a shoutout to her former husband on his new show. She posted the series' trailer as well as a note. "Congratulations to @ant_anstead on his new show “Born Mechanic” … premiering on 12/13," she wrote of the show, which will be available to stream on Max and discovery+.

Anstead, 45, left a playful reply in her comments: “Thank you (shout with any pointers) x," he wrote. The automotive expert's series revolves around a home renovation, something his ex-wife is an expert in.

The former couple, who wed in December 2018 and announced they were separating in September 2020, have generated buzz in recent months as they continue to interact warmly via their personal social media accounts despite their rocky history.

After finalizing their divorce in June 2021, Haack and Anstead were involved in a heated custody battle over their son, Hudson, 5. Shortly before the case would have gone to trial, they were able to agree on a custody schedule and have since been focused on amicably co-parenting.

Haack refollowed Anstead on Instagram over the summer, seemingly around the time of her third husband Josh Hall filed for divorce. Anstead appeared to reciprocate the gesture, posting a photo of Hudson's soccer team to his story and tagging Haack.

The pair continued interacting on social media throughout the summer, keeping posts kid-related.

Haack liked photos that Anstead shared of Hudson after a father-son day at the beach in Laguna Beach, Calif, and when Anstead posted a birthday message for Hudson that referenced his girlfriend Renée Zellweger, Haack commented, "Happy Birthday to our sweet boy!"

Anstead seemingly followed Haack back on Instagram in October.

In July, the former Flip or Flop star gave some insight into her reason for rekindling the friendship, telling Backgrid: "Ant and I share Hudson... and I feel like he deserves to have us get along,"

Fans of the two stars took to the comments of Haack's most recent post about Born Mechanic, expressing their appreciation for the couple's ability to keep thins cordial, with one user writing, "That’s awesome! So nice to promote his show. Just shows you can co parent successfully."

The pair are even working together again offline.

They were recently spotted together filming Haack's upcoming HGTV series The Flip Off on Thursday, Nov. 7, in Los Angeles.

A source told PEOPLE that Anstead would be appearing on the show after Christina previously joked about him replacing her estranged third husband Josh Hall, who has seemingly exited the series.

Anstead's specific role on the show, set to premiere in early 2025, remains unknown.
