Charli D’Amelio Goes Sheer on ‘Jimmy Fallon,’ Talks ‘& Juliet’ Broadway Debut
Charli D’Amelio favored sheer fabrics for her appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Monday in New York. The TikTok star stopped by to discuss her Broadway debut as part of the ensemble cast of “& Juliet,” which is inspired by William Shakespeare’s famous play “Romeo & Juliet.”
“It is one of the most amazing and one of the hardest things that I’ve done,” D’Amelio told host Jimmy Fallon of performing in the jukebox musical. “You push your body and you do things that you think you can’t do but you’re surrounded by so much love and we love the show. You perform because you don’t know if it’s someone’s first Broadway show or the only Broadway show they’re ever going to go to.”

D’Amelio sported a black off-the-shoulder top and a netted skirt, accessorizing with pointy pumps. She was dressed by stylist Carlee Barrow, who she’s worked with since 2023.
Hairdresser Dina DiPietro styled D’Amelio’s dark tresses in a sleek bob, while makeup artist Olivia Madorma gave her black eyeliner, rosy blush and a glossy nude lip.
Last fall, D’Amelio attended Prada’s spring 2025 fashion show in Milan, where she paired a high-waisted gray plaid skirt with a cropped leather jacket, pink satin pumps and one of the label’s calfskin Vitello Daino Totes in taupe.
For the spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection, co-creative directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons showcased designs that highlighted “something more unpredictable and human,” wrote WWD’s Booth Moore.
“We wanted to show there are many ways of being Prada,” Prada said backstage. The collection put a spin on Prada’s traditional uniformity. Highlights from the spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection included “Space Age cutouts, bug-eye glasses, trim knits and tromp l’oeil, bondage rings and bow blouses.”
D’Amelio has been known to favor sheer styles. At both the Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals last year, the influencer and “Dancing With the Stars” champion sported see-through looks: an Aya Muse knit dress with butterfly appliqués and a black mesh skirt set.
