Chappell Roan Will Perform At Elton John’s Oscars Party

Chappell Roan is headlining one of the most coveted invites on Hollywood’s biggest night.

The 6x Grammy nominee will perform at the 33rd Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party on March 2 in West Hollywood, raising funds for organization’s longtime efforts to end AIDS and LGBTQ+ stigma.

David and I are thrilled to gather with friends and supporters once again, and we’re honored to welcome the bold and authentic Chappell Roan as this year’s performer, whose artistry embodies the power of music to inspire change.”

Roan previously appeared on John’s Apple Music radio show Rocket Hour, where he told her it’s “wonderful to see true talent being recognized.”

Co-hosted by John, husband David Furnish, Jean Smart, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka, other attendees will include Benefit Chair and Committee members Megan Thee Stallion, Hozier, Sharon Stone, Sean Penn, Mick Jagger and Jeffrey Wright.

John’s annual Oscars party, which consistently boasts a star-studded guest list, raised a record $10.8 million during last year’s event.

After voting ends on Sunday for the 97th Academy Awards, nominations will be announced Friday, Jan. 17. Conan O’Brien is set to host this year’s awards show, which will air live Sunday, March 2 at 4pm PT on ABC.
