Channing Tatum Calls Out Kelly Clarkson for "Meditative" Behavior
Some people like to zen out with podcasts, others with puzzles. Kelly Clarkson? She prefers to play with LEGO bricks.
On Friday, August 23, Kelly’s team took to Instagram to share a clip from her sitdown with Channing Tatum on her daytime talk show. During their chat, Kelly and Channing discussed their preferred methods for mental relaxation. While Channing praised therapy and exercise, Kelly admitted that her go-to is a bit more childlike.
“That’s LEGOs for me,” Kelly chimed in, to Channing’s surprise.
“That is psychotic,” he joked to her big reveal. “You’re a sociopath. No way, man. I get anxiety just thinking of that.”
Kelly couldn’t care less, though. For her, the ultra-clear instructions, ease of stacking, and meditative effect of doing so (even while slightly inebriated) make LEGO bricks a must in her household. “You would think I’m a serial killer,” she joked, going on to praise the mind-soothing qualities of the popular kids' toy. “My son and I are addicted. My dining room table is LEGOLAND.”
While Channing could admit that he and his daughter enjoy playing with LEGOS from time to time, he shared that they like to stray from the instructions—which Kelly couldn’t personally relate to, as she enjoys following them to a tee. Nevertheless, Kelly’s fans were quick to tell her she’s not alone in her “psychotic” meditative behavior.
“My most relaxing days were organizing the Lego into colors and sizes while my daughter and husband were building. I had a very special knack for finding very specific pieces quickly. I spent weeks organizing all of our sets into clip boxes. It really was meditative,” one fan commented. “Yep. My husband is a physician and comes home every evening to work in a bag or two of Legos after a tough day,” another fan shared. “OH Kelly!! So with you on the meditative power of a Lego set. I’m 69 and have my favorites,” someone else wrote. “YAS!!!! LEGOs while having a glass of wine is the best,” yet another fan exclaimed.
