She was fired from Celebrity Apprentice amid cheating rumours, but the hits just keep coming for Martha Kalifatidis.
The former Married At First Sight bride was left horrified on Tuesday morning when she discovered her partner Michael Brunelli's plans to seemingly propose with an 'ugly, second-hand' ring.
Martha, 33, had a meltdown during a phone call with her mum, Big Brother star Mary Kalifatidis, who dropped the bombshell that Michael had picked out an engagement ring.
But, what Martha didn't know was that she was being pranked by her mum on The Kyle and Jackie O Show's 'Only Lying' segment, in retaliation for duping Mary into believing she'd crashed her Porsche.
To exact her revenge, Mary told her daughter that she'd seen a photo of the ring, which she called 'ugly' and 'vintage-inspired,' sending Martha into a spin.
"It looks like it's from a second-hand shop," Mary said.
"Why would he think Victorian? It's me, I'm so f***ing chic!" Martha responded.
Mary then compared the ring to the one her own father gave his first fiancée, much to Martha's dismay.
"Oh my God, that's tiny!" she exclaimed. "Why would you stress me like this? Why wouldn't you just crush [that idea] immediately?"
'Tell him it's ugly!'
Mary explained that Michael was just "trying to do something romantic" for his girlfriend of over two years.
"Tell him it's ugly," Martha demanded. "Tell him I want something plain and modern."
She then wondered aloud about when Michael had found the opportunity to shop for a ring; "Unless he's gone on eBay, I'll die if it's from Etsy, I'll die!"
With Martha near frantic, KIIS FM hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson jumped in to shout, "Only lying!"
"We thought you copped it on TV, you might as well cop it on national radio as well," Kyle chuckled to a relieved yet annoyed Martha.
Mary's ruse was so convincing that Martha was already snooping on Michael's online shopping habits.
"I'm on his laptop to look up his Etsy search history," she revealed.
