A fan-favorite actress is coming back to Hope Valley, and fans don't have to wait long to see her once again.
Ever since When Calls the Heart started airing season 12 episodes on January 5, many have been missing the presence of Fiona Miller (portrayed by Kayla Wallace). A series regular for seasons 6 through 10, viewers loved the evolution Fiona had from telephone operator to the eventual owner of the town barbershop. What's more, people loved how strong her bond was with the ladies of Hope Valley — particularly the ones she had with Faith Carter (Andrea Brooks) and Mei Sou (Amanda Wong). So, when Fiona — and subsequently, Kayla — left WCTH for a job in San Francisco, it was only a matter of time before folks wanted to see her back onscreen.
Well, it looks like people's wishes came true, as the Hallmark drama revealed Fiona's surprise return for the February 2 episode. What's more, an upcoming promo posted on Instagram in January depicted how the other Hope Valley citizens feel about her grand reappearance.
"Fiona! You're back!" Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow) screamed in excitement as she gave Fiona a hug.
When folks picked up on the surprise news of Fiona coming back to When Calls the Heart, it immediately sparked a commotion in the comments.
"OMG ❤️❤️ I can't wait ❤️❤️❤️ woohoo ❤️," one person wrote. "Yay to seeing @imkaylawallace in Hope Valley!" another exclaimed. "YAY!!! FIONA’S BACK!!!!❤️🤗👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻," a different follower added.
So, does this mean we'll get to see Fiona in future episodes of When Calls the Heart? Although there's always a chance, we'll have to watch and see what happens next. But it's important to note that Kayla is currently starring in the hit Paramount+ drama Landman, which has a high chance of getting picked up for season 2.
And let's not forget — this isn't the first time Fiona came back to Hope Valley since she took a job away from the frontier. She previously appeared in the When Calls the Heart season 11 finale, where she came to celebrate Mei's wedding to Mike Hickam (Ben Rosenbaum).
