Bunnings shoppers create stunning tables using surprise item

Once again Bunnings shoppers have shown off their DIY genius by creating a stunning timber table using a screening panel available at the popular hardware store.

Not only does it likely save you hundreds of dollars on the cost of a typical 6-8 seater outdoor setting, or even a nice timber dining table, but it looks pretty fabulous too.

“Saw these today. Would make a great outdoor table top,” one shopper suggested in a popular Bunnings group on Facebook.

“Ooh I have absolutely no need for this but I think I need one,” one person quipped.

“Sold!!!! Thanks for sharing,” another person commented.

“Tomorrow Bunnings will be wondering why everyone is buying these .. awesome idea,” was another response.

While a fourth said: “Thanks for sharing. I've been looking at the bamboo panels but so expensive.”

There were a few concerned about the ability to keep the table clean, asking whether food crumbs might end up getting stuck in the grooves.

But those who had already created their own table design - some with umbrella holders and decorative borders - revealed that was not an issue.

“The crumbs go straight through, I have had a few parties on mine,” one person reassured.

Of course there were plenty of other shoppers who were in love with the panels, having used them for what they are technically sold for - screening and fencing.
