Yahoo Lifestyle Brooke Shields Wears Asymmetric LBD by Mugler on ‘Jimmy Fallon,’ Talks Commence Hair Care Line and New Book
Brooke Shields added a little black dress from Mugler to her book promo tour wardrobe. The actress stopped by “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday to discuss her autobiography, “Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old,” and her Commence hair care line. She wore an asymmetric, one-shoulder black dress from the luxury house’s fall 2024 collection.
Shields’ velvety dress featured a thigh-high slit cutting diagonally across the dress, revealing sheer black stockings underneath. She accessorized with Verdura jewelry, including a sun cuff bracelet, which can be found for $77,500 at Greenleaf & Crosby, and a double crescent diamond pink gold bracelet, previously sold for $58,000 at 1stDibs.

During the interview, Shields tested Commence’s 2-in-1 Instant Dry Shampoo on Fallon’s hair and discussed her decision to create the hair care line brand, which debuted in May.
“This is a line of hair care perfectly for women over 40,” she told Fallon. “You’ll see these are completely formulated for a woman who is over 40. You have different needs, and marketers do not market to this woman,” she said.
The actress also talked about writing “Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old.” “Starting a company in my 50s was sort of shocking to everybody, that a 50-plus woman could do something completely new. So I started writing about that process and then put a lot of research into it,” she said. “This age is fabulous, but we’re sort of relegated to just menopause. I always say, like, you’re the hot girl at the bar, or, you know, you’re in dentures or something like that, right? But there’s so much joy to be had, and I wanted to encourage women to not feel scared about this era of their life. It’s their turn.”
