Brooke Shields and Her Lookalike Daughter Rowan Got the Cutest Matching Tattoos
Love this mother-daughter duo.
Brooke Shields is close with her two daughters Rowan and Grier Henchy and often brings them as her plus-ones to events. Now, Shields and her eldest daughter even have matching ink that binds the mother-daughter duo.
Tattoo artist Matt Gutierrez at East Side Ink Tattoo in New York City, shared a roundup of photos capturing their tattoo session from earlier this week. One photo showed the mother and daughter posing with their heads together while holding out their arms to show off the fresh ink that reads, "And to a party." Another slide includes a close-up shot of the dainty script in Rowan's handwriting.
Gutierrez also shared a photo of himself posing with the super model and a snap of Shields lying on the tattoo table. The artist explained that he didn't realize who he was tattooing at first. "Starting the year with the surprise of tattooing @brookeshields and @rowanhenchyy," he captioned his post. "I don’t know if you believe me but I didn’t recognize who it was at first, it wasn’t until I finished the tattoo; and sometimes it is important not to recognize the character, but to know the person. Today I had the opportunity to meet both of them (they make a good team); thanks for the patience, trust, laughter, confidence and tranquility."
According to Page Six, both Shields and Henchy posted photos of the new ink to their Instagram Stories. “Mother-daughter bonding," Henchy wrote alongside a snap of their arms that has since expired. Shields reposted the Story with the caption, “Another matching tattoo with my bug.”
Back in 2021, Shields and Henchy got coordinating lady bug tattoos in honor of her high school graduation. Shields's is placed on her wrist, while her older daughter chose to get it on her ankle. “A special graduation gift and memory with my girl,” Shields wrote at the time, per the outlet. “I’m so proud of you, I love you more than words can say.”
In a recent interview, Shields opened up about how she teaches her daughters about beauty standards. "I don’t shy away from telling them they’re beautiful, because they are, in my eyes as a mother! So I’m allowed that; it’s my prerogative," she said in an interview with Real Simple. "But it has to have a caveat. I tell them that beauty means different things to different people and different cultures," she continued. "And it’s not all you are. It is a piece and part of your individuality."
