Spears' biography, released in 2023, included several bombshell revelations about her personal life and the ups and downs of her career. She wrote extensively about her relationship with then-boyfriend Justin Timberlake and several family members, including her mom Lynne, dad Jamie and sister Jamie Lynn.
As for what makes it to the big screen, well, that decision could be one of many that Hollywood asks for her input on should the Grammy winner formally accept the offer from a self-proclaimed "big fan."
"She's going to be very involved," director Jon M. Chu told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet of Sunday night's Golden Globes. "I haven't really started anything fully yet, but she will be very involved in this. I have ideas and things, an approach, but it's very early."
Though the Wicked director—who also told Billboard that he's a "big fan" of the pop star for some time—remained tight-lipped on most of the details (like if he officially asked the "Gimme More" singer to join the team), he did offer another potential hint at who could be involved in the project.
"I've seen all the fan castings and I always take those into consideration because maybe there's a good idea out there," Chu, 45, told the publication, seemingly referencing the viral posts suggesting Sydney Sweeney, Addison Rae or Dove Cameron should be in talks for a starring role in the film.
"But we'll have to see what the approach of the movie is before we know who's right for it," he concluded.
Spears isn't a stranger to Hollywood. Early in her career, she starred in The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1993–1995) and Crossroads (2002), she also made cameos in several popular TV shows and movies, including Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1999), The Simpsons (2000), Saturday Night Live (2000–2003), Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002) and Will & Grace (2006). So a behind-the-scenes role in a highly-awaited project seems like the natural next step!
