Bride shocks with 'gross' engagement ring: 'Serial killer vibes'
A bride-to-be has shocked people after sharing her ‘engagement ring’ made completely out of human hair.
Photos of the strange ring were re-posted on the popular online forum Reddit, with many users saying how ‘gross’ and ‘creepy’ was.
The woman posted three photos alongside this caption: “My boyfie is now my FIANCE! He proposed with a ring made from a lock of his OWN. HAIR. This is a placeholder, until my more intricately woven band is done!”
The pictures show a large, thick band around the woman’s ring finger, with loose hairs at the top and bottom.
It also seems as if the hair is wrapped too tightly around the finger, as there is a slight blue tinge to the finger.

People didn’t hold back on what they thought about her ring.
“I can’t be the only one getting serial killer vibes from this,” one commented.
“They taking ‘tying the knot’ to a literal level, huh,’ a second added.
“I try really hard not to be mean on Reddit but this is the grossest thing I’ve ever seen,” another chimed in.
“I don’t know what’s more cringe, the hair band, or her calling her mate boyfie,” a fourth wrote.
Some users tried to defend the bride-to-be, with one explaining that there is an old tradition of having jewellery made from locks of hair.
However, they were promptly reminded that the tradition was done for ‘dead’ loved ones.
TikToker's wedding cake DIY
This comes after a TikToker bride also tried her hand at some DIY for her wedding, by making her own wedding cake.
Using a Betty Crocker rainbow white cake mix, the bride wrote on TikTok: “Not sure if making my wedding cake at midnight the night before my wedding was the best idea.”
Talking to her followers, she said: “I’m getting married in two days, and today I’m baking our wedding cake.”
Laura then struggled to stack and ice the cakes, before covering the entire monstrosity in a range of colourful sprinkles.
Adding a giant topper with the couple’s last name, she presented the homemade cake, with some saying it looked like a 'volcano'.
However, there were many commenters who praised the thrifty bride for saving hundreds of dollars by making her own cake.
“Thank god someone has some common sense and doesn’t pay $500 for a wedding cake. You’re beautiful, let that shine not your cake!!!” one told her.
