Billy Ray Cyrus' Surprising Response to Miley's Grammy Win Amid Family Feud
After making headlines last month for his erratic behavior while performing at the inauguration last month, Billy Ray Cyrus congratulated daughter Miley Cyrus on her triumph at this year's Grammys.
Miley took home her third Grammy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance with Beyoncé for their song “II Most Wanted” on Sunday, Feb. 2, and her dad took to Instagram shortly thereafter to celebrate the win.
"Congratulations @mileycyrus and @beyonce on their well-deserved @recordingacademy Grammy wins! 🎶 Couldn’t be prouder!!!❤️🎉 🎈," Billy Ray wrote.

Though rumors of a family feud have been swirling for some time now, with Miley's older brother Trace Cyrus recently speaking on behalf of himself and his sisters to express concern for their patriarch, Miley—who attended the Grammys with her mom, Tish Cyrus—did "like" her father's post.
At last year's Grammys, Miley seemingly snubbed Billy Ray when she left him out of her acceptance speech for Record of the Year.
"I don't think I forgot anyone,” she said after thanking her mom, sister and others. “But I might have forgotten underwear. Bye!"
During a June 2024 appearance on the Netflix series My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman, Miley opened up about her relationship with her father.
"The way my dad was raised, he grew up very poor in a very small town," she said. "His parents were divorced when he was very young. My dad had a pretty rough childhood and my childhood, really—I mean, we can go on and talk about the hard times and the struggles; you know, turning in my homework and learning my lines was tough—but I had food, I had love, I grew up in a beautiful big house. And my dad didn't have that. So I have a lot of empathy and compassion for his childhood, which obviously developed to create the man he is now that I have a lot of love for."
"There's not estrangement here with your father, it's just the way things are played?" Letterman asked.
"Yeah," Miley said. "I think, what is so beautiful is that my parents, they served their children, and I know this. My parents served us and sacrificed so much for us. Anything we dreamed of, they made possible."
