Bill Murray, Kristen Wiig Headline Odd Couple Comedy ‘Epiphany’ From ‘Palm Springs’ Director Max Barbakow
Bill Murray (Ghostbusters) and Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids) have been set to co-star in odd couple comedy Epiphany from Palm Springs helmer Max Barbakow. Rocket Science, CAA Media Finance, and Range Media Partners are launching the feature at the European Film Market in Berlin this week.
Epiphany follows Favorite Ives (Wiig), an heiress and fashionista whose fortune evaporates overnight, as she embarks on a two-week search for a rich husband in a bid to fight creditors and keep a roof over her head. She meets eccentric math savant billionaire Oz Bell (Murray), who needs Ives’ spirit and spontaneity as much as she needs his money.

Scooged writer Mitch Glazer has penned the film and will produce. The Gotham Group’s Lee Stollman and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein (Deliver Me From Nowhere) are also producers. Wiig and Murray serve as executive producers alongside Jillian Apfelbaum (The Mule) and Margot Hand (Passing). CAA Media Finance and Range Media Partners represent domestic rights, with Rocket Science handling international.
Wiig was Emmy-nominated for Palm Royale, which is currently shooting its second season for Apple TV+. Murray is coming off The Friend, the Scott McGehee and David Siegel feature that premiered at the Toronto Film Festival. He also appears in Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme, which is in post-production.
