The biggest 2025 beauty trends, modelled by the UK's biggest rising stars
Every year, my job as a beauty director is to take the beauty looks that we see backstage at fashion shows and what's poppin' off on social media, funnel them into my brain, note the similarities and then present them to you, our gorgeous Cosmo readers. Sometimes they are already super wearable and sometimes they are so outlandish we reserve for Halloween only. For spring/summer 2025 though, there are some highly wearable trends that we cannot wait to add to the roster (can the weather just play ball, please?)
So, while we wait for the sun to pop up, and the thermostat to rise slightly, we tapped up seven of our favourite up-and-coming actors to model some of our favourite hair and makeup trends for spring/summer 2025. Oh, and because don't gatekeep, each of them gave us their Little Black Beauty books so we know exactly what they use and who they go to for their beauty upkeep - stay tuned!
The Trend: Doll eyes
With white liner and cluster lashes at the ready, we’re heading back to the sixties with this adorable trend. At Harris Reed, exaggerated lashes were set against a backdrop of swoon-worthy pastel shadows, while at Bora Asku, beehives and smokey lashlines were met with the perfect amount of white eyeliner in the waterline for a butter-wouldn’t-melt gaze.
Epic Wear Long Lasting Liner Stick
Eylure Individuals S,M,L (Knot Free)
Supercolour Kohl Eyeliner (Soft Black)
Modelled by... Jessica Plummer
Fresh from The Decameron and into Netflix’s new Harlan Coben adaptation? Major. In fact, it’s highly likely you’ve already binge-watched the entirety of Missing You by now. But if not, this is your sign.
The trend: She's electric
It’s big, it’s bold, and it’s not perfect—that’s the point. This season, the eye makeup looks at Loewe and Ganni were alight with bright, standout shades. Whether you’re experimenting with a streak of white liner, a wash of blue on your lid, or going avant-garde with an orange strip lash, just keep your base light and fresh to hold focus on your eyes.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion 10ml Original
Hypnôse Drama Eyeshadow Palette in Drama Denim
Modelled by... Bethany Antonia
Bethany has become a scene-stealer in HBO’s Game Of Thrones prequel House Of The Dragon as Baela Targaryen (aka The People’s Princess). Expect to see a lot more of her, as the show’s been confirmed for two more seasons.
The Trend: Let's Accessories
Oh, you thought you were done buying hair shop bobbles? Think again, because we’re adding 20 packs to our basket to inject some fun back into our hairstyling. Let it be scrunchies, clips, slides, or bobbles, more was more at Alice + Olivia where buns were adorned with flower garlands, and at Valentino where scarves and bows of varying sizes hit the runway.

Cantu Shea Butter for Natural Hair Extra Hold Edge Stay Gel 64g
Kent Tail Comb Fine Hair - 8T
Modelled by... Corinna Brown
We probably don’t need to tell you that Netflix’s Heartstopper has been a legit phenomenon. Creator Alice Oseman has confirmed a fourth season would be the show’s last, but Corinna is already filming a buzzy new project.
The Trend: Year-round metallics
Silvers and golds are nawt just for the festive season, friends. You can frost yourself with some unexpected lip action a la Miu Miu, or stick to a dab of your fave jewel tone on your eyes. It’s giving regal and it’s giving majestic. Gold star if you team your metallic eye or lip with dewy, fresh skin for an otherworldly glow.
Liquid Metallic Eyeshadow
Satin Eyeliner
Highlighting Powder
Modelled by... Delainey Hayles
Known for her standout performance in the TV adaptation of Anne Rice's Interview With The Vampire, Delainey is keeping tight-lipped about her 2025 projects. But one thing you can guarantee? It’ll make you scream (with delight, obvs).
The Trend: Big on blush
Yes, the S/S iteration of bold blush is a statement, but it’s also diffused and highly-wearable IRL - think crushed berry tones and peachy hues melted into the skin. Wanna try something different? At the SABIRAH SS25 show, models donned blush at the highest point of their cheekbones just under their eye socket, so try starting your application here for a youthful lift.
Color Fuse Longwear Glassy Lip + Cheek Stick 5g
Cooling Water Jelly Tint
Flush Balm
Modelled by... Lauryn Ajufo
Lauryn burst on to our screens with her 2019 role in Boiling Point, alongside Stephen Graham. With Netflix’s Luther: Fallen Sun and Everything Now also under her belt, we’re not surprised 2025 is going to be ‘a big year’.
The Trend: Glass hair
Does sleek, glossy hair ever go out of style? Well, Balmain’s SS25 show brought it slap-bang back onto our beauty mood board for this year. If you want uniform inches, clip-ins are your friend (try Beauty Works 22" Double Hair Set Clip-In Extensions). Teaming the look with a slightly off-centred parting and baby hairs screams late nineties Aaliyah and we are here for it.
Modelled by... Nadine Mills
NGL, Nadine hinting that Supacell season 2 may be filming this year kinda made our month. And with the major success of series 1 of Netflix’s groundbreaking superhero show, it’s no surprise casting directors have already come knocking.
The Trend: Grown-up plaits
These aren’t your go-to primary school style reimagined, these are grown and sexy. As seen this season at Phoebe English and Chopova Lowena, plaits and braids can be mature, playful and cool and we will not be told otherwise. In need of a lil' extra volume? Let synthetic braiding hair come to the rescue.
