Ben & Jerry’s fans know that the Vermont-based ice cream company makes very creative products, combining different ice cream flavors and toppings into decadent desserts, oftentimes with punny names inspired by the ingredients themselves.
Their latest offering, launched ahead of Valentine’s Day, is a limited batch that fans can’t wait to try, as evidenced by their enthusiastic reaction to the news on social media.
On Feb. 11, Ben and Jerry’s shared a photo of its new flavor, chocolate covered strawberry, teasing that “The perfect Valentine’s Day gift doesn’t exi— Oh, wait.”
The strawberry ice cream swirled with strawberry jam and fudge flakes is available now for a limited time. “Grab two spoons and let the love-fest begin,” the brand wrote on Instagram.

Fans rushed into the comments to voice their approval, writing, “All my dreams have come true 😍,” and “I want it and I’m not sharing. 😂😂.”
Though most fans were excited by the news, a few jumped into the Instagram comments with complaints. “Why do all your new flavours come out in the dairy version only? I feel that it is a bit of a snub for those who eat the non-dairy version,” wrote one fan, and another agreed, commenting, “Non dairy options please 😢.”
“pls make a non dairy version i would make it sell out,” said a third fan.
