Shoppers Say 'Supplies Won't Long' For Costco's New 'Perfect Blend' Sweet Treat
Costco is all about the snacks. And for those who prefer a selection of awe-inspiring treats, the fan-favorite bulk retailer has always been a bountiful source in which shoppers can rely on. Last week, we obsessed over multiple bakery finds, as well as these delicious-looking ube-flavored bao. This week, however, is shaping up to be no different for Costco membership holders.
Speaking of reliable flavors that we all love, news online suggests that Costco warehouses in New York and California are set to receive stock of a new traditional Korean dessert: Samlip Official Yakgwa Honey Cookies. We caught wind of the new arrival thanks to @costcoaisles, who describes the cookies as having a “rich honey flavor” with “a hint of spice.” The popular bulk retailer is selling 52.8-ounce bags for the low price of $9.97.

For those out of the loop, Samlip is a Korean family brand that produces a wide range of baked goods, cafe sweets, rice cakes and other traditional treats. Yakgwa is a deep-fried, wheat-based cookie made with honey, rice wine, sesame oil and ginger juice. Yakgwa is known for its distinct sweetness and is made by preparing dough with flour and honey, frying it in oil and then soaking it in honey or a malt syrup such as jocheong. Together, these two flavors create a perfect blend that can complement any number of popular dessert dishes.
This hefty bag of Samlip Official Yakgwa Honey Cookies comes with individually wrapped cookies inside of it, each of which can be enjoyed in any way consumers deem fit. Some fans prefer to top their cookies with a scoop of ice cream, others enjoy crumbling a cookie or two over their morning yogurt. Other fans have even gone as far as to warm the cookies up in the microwave before digging in, or simply enjoy them along with a morning cup of coffee or tea.

According to @costco_doesitagain, who also found Samlip Official Yakgwa Honey Cookies at their local Costco warehouse, the cookies are “highly enjoyable” and worthy of “keeping an eye out for,” as supplies will not last long.
With the way new releases come and go, and their popularity simultaneously skyrocketing online, there’s always a chance you’ll miss out on something that caught your eye. The best practice, in our opinion, is to move quickly and keep that membership card handy so as to keep up with Costco’s constant flow of incoming goodies.
