Ben Affleck and Son Samuel Step Out for Rare Father-Son Outing in New Photos

Ben Affleck and his 12-year-old son, Samuel, bonded over their love of basketball this weekend.

Ben, 52, and his youngest child with his ex, Jennifer Garner, were photographed sitting courtside at the Los Angeles Lakers home game against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, Nov. 10. Both father and son were clearly invested in the proceedings as they watched the players closely, sometimes pausing to cheer or express their frustrations.

The father-son duo dressed casually for the occasion, with Ben wearing a gray coat over a beige button-down shirt, graphic tee, and gray jeans. Meanwhile, Samuel dressed in a black shirt with blocks of color on the sleeves and black jeans. They also wore matching pairs of the same Nike sneakers.

This isn't the first time Samuel has accompanied his dad to an NBA game. In March 2024, the tween watched the Lakers take on the Golden State Warriors with Ben and his then-wife, Jennifer Lopez. Samuel was outfitted in Warriors gear for the occasion, including a hat and a sweatshirt featuring player Steph Curry's number and last name.

Samuel has spent plenty of quality time with both parents in recent months. In October, Garner shared a video to Instagram from a trip the mother and son took through a spooky haunted house.

At one point, a creeped-out Garner pretended to offer Samuel in exchange for her own safety, telling an actor, "I'm not who you want. Take my son!"

In addition to Samuel, Ben and Garner share two other children, Violet, 18, and Fin, 15.
