“Back to the Future” Star Lea Thompson Is a First-Time Grandma! Says She's 'Over the Moon in Love'

On Sunday, Feb. 9, the Back to the Future actress, 63, shared that her oldest daughter, Madelyn Deutch, 33, has welcomed a baby girl. She's also mom to actress Zoey Deutch, who posted a trio of Instagram Stories celebrating her niece's arrival.

Thompson shared a carousel of photos of the newborn on Instagram with a sweet caption that began with, "Welcome to this crazy beautiful world little girl."

She continued, "Robbie June Carlisle! I’m a grandmother, friends! Such joy and happiness is singing in my heart. I am so grateful and proud of Maddie and Zach for having the faith and grace to take a chance on love. ❤️ Howie, Zoey and I are over the moon in love."

"Congratulations Maddie," the actress continued. "My baby is a mama…."

Thompson shares daughters Madelyn and Zoe, 30, with her husband, Pretty in Pink director Howard Deutch, 74.

Thompson filled her carousel with photos of baby Robbie meeting her grandparents and snuggling with her mom and dad (Madelyn's husband, Zach Carlisle). Meanwhile, the baby's proud aunt Zoey shared a series of snaps to her Instagram Stories, including a photo of a sleeping Robbie captioned with, "the literal love of my life, welcome to the world."

Madelyn shared an Instagram post introducing her firstborn to the world earlier that day.

She revealed in the caption that the baby girl was born on Sunday, Feb. 2, while also sharing that her little sister took some of the first photos of her daughter after Robbie's birth.

"Our rainbow girl," the new mom continued to write on the post which included a picture of her in a hospital bed with her baby on her lap and her husband kissing the side of her face.

"We are so grateful to this magical being - and to our friends and family, for swaddling the three of us in so much unending love."
