Yahoo Lifestyle Drooling over Sabrina Carpenter's crystal-embellished naked dress
It's safe to say Sabrina Carpenter is killing it right now on all fronts. As well as just releasing a duet with the Dolly Parton (!!) and stealing the show at the Grammys with an iconic performance, the pint-sized pop star is doing it all in a drool-worthy wardrobe to boot. We're talking backless feathered gowns, faux fur micro minis, silver mesh dresses, custom Victoria's Secret looks and fun and flirty babydoll styles. All ensembles that have come to define ‘Brinacore’ – AKA our new fave aesthetic.
So, it's no surprise Sabrina stayed true to her style DNA to attend SNL50, a special anniversary episode of Saturday Night Live in New York last night [Sunday 16 February]. Ahead of performing a duet of Simon & Garfunkel's ‘Homeward Bound’ with Paul Simon himself, Sabrina walked the red carpet in a show-stopping crystal-embellished see-through naked dress.
The 'fit in question consisted of a figure-hugging design with an asymmetric one-shoulder neckline and covered entirely with silver sequin and crystal adornments. Crafted from sheer tulle but featuring a nude underlay, the design gave the illusion Sabrina was totally naked and had been dipped in sparkling crystals to literally drip with diamonds. She wore nude satin platform heels on her feet and accessorised with yet more diamonds, this time in the form of oversized stud earrings and a selection of sparkling rings.
Sparkle was clearly the unofficial dress code for the evening's festivities as Blake Lively opted for equally glittering attire and Kim Kardashian similarly wowed in a silver chainmail dress.
