Bachelorette's Darvid 'putting on a brave face' after split with Brooke
Just a few days after sharing the shock news that he and Brooke Blurton have split up, Darvid Garayeli is telling his followers he is "putting on a brave face".
The Bachelorette couple left fans reeling when they revealed they'd split, with the pair's finale only airing five weeks prior.
Darvid, who was the favourite to win Brooke's heart from the start, moved to Melbourne to be with her after the finale aired, despite having family, a business and a house in Brisbane.
The 27-year-old took to Instagram on Sunday to share a brief statement about the split, writing: "Starting the new year off with an end to a chapter and hopefully the beginning of another.

"Unfortunately Brooke and I have parted ways. Whilst we both genuinely thought we were each other's person, things change and that's okay."
He went on to ask people to "respect their privacy" adding "a lot of lessons learned".
Brooke, who had just celebrated her 27th birthday the day before, responded with her own statement, revealing she hadn't expected Darvid to share the news publicly.
"I just want to say right now I'm finding this really quite overwhelming and just as surprising to me as you guys," Brooke wrote. "I just woke up to the news. It was definitely agreed to part ways. I just wanted to do it privately, amicably and respectfully."
She continued: "As you can imagine, this is a lot", before also sharing there was "a lot going on" in her world and Darvid's.
"I really do hope you respect some part of what 'privacy' we do have right now, because like I said, this was a surprise to wake up to just as much as it was for you guys," she concluded, adding she would be "tuning out" for now.
Now, Darvid has taken to Instagram to share an update with his followers, showing he's back in Queensland.
"Back home with my loved ones.. and my washing," he said referencing the laundry in the background. "Thanks for all the supportive messages, putting on a brave face."
Interestingly, Jamie-Lee Dayz, who was left heartbroken at the Bachelorette finale when Brooke chose Darvid, commented: "You've got this."
Another Bachelorette star, Carissa Croft commented: "Sending love Darv. You're such a good human."
"Huge love my bro, you’re one of the kindest souls I know, stay strong!" one friend commented.
"I hope your house and business hadn't sold yet. So sad you guys didn't work out. Sending hugs," another follower wrote.
"He's such a kind and beautiful soul," a third wrote. "Next Bachie perhaps??"
Many others wrote that they were "devastated" the pair didn't work out.
Darvid's last snap with Brooke was uploaded on December 27, where he said he was "missing" her.
Earlier in the month, he shared a snap of himself and Brooke that was captioned, "How did I get so lucky?"
Brooke, meanwhile, seems to have deleted snaps of Darvid, with the most recent one from November 27, two days after their finale aired.
She had previously called Darvid, her "person", adding that she loves him "unconditionally".
Both Brooke and Darvid have unfollowed each other on Instagram.
