Enraged Aussies are slamming Arnott's Iced VoVos: 'What the hell happened?'

Biscuit lovers aren't happy with the iconic Aussie treat, labelling Iced Vovos as 'disappointing'.

Aussies have taken to Reddit to slam Arnott's Iced VoVos, saying they're not the same as they used to be,

In a Reddit thread, one user kicked off the discussion asking 'what the hell happened?' to the iconic biscuit, stating they had bought a packet and were bitterly disappointed by the result after not having the sweet treat for 'at least a decade'.

Other biscuit lovers flocked to the thread to throw in their two cents, with one slamming Arnott's for downgrading — in size and quality — their biscuits over the years.

"Everything Arnott's has touched has been murdered," they said. "Orange Creams have less cream and taste stale, Shortbread Creams taste sickly and fake, Monte Carlos have red and white hardened glue instead of filling, Kingston's are like 30% crumbs, Delta creams just taste wrong, Nice, I wish they were."

"I don’t mind an Iced Vovo every now and then but they do seem smaller these days and the coconut and jam seem much firmer and less of [it] than I remember originally," another said, while someone commented it's like the biscuit has become 'dehydrated'.

"I also had one after a long gap and completely lost my s**t. It's like they hate us," another former fan said.

"I used to work for Arnott's years ago and a while ago bought a pack of Iced Vovos on a reminiscent whim, boy was I disappointed," another shared. "So much so I emailed Arnotts to express my dismay. They insisted nothing had changed, my arse they hadn’t!"

Other users pointed out a lot of Arnott's biscuits haven't been the same since the company stopped being Australian-owned.

Arnott's was sold in 2019 to a private American investment company KKR.

Arnott's told Yahoo Lifestyle in a statetment that the recipe and biscuit size of the Iced VoVo had stayed the same in recent years.

"We know Iced VoVo biscuits are a much-loved product amongst Australians, and we are consistently listening to our consumers to ensure our products meet high-quality standards.

Our Iced VoVo biscuits continue to be made by our wonderful team in Marleston, South Australia, who have been delivering the same delicious recipe of smooth fondant, sweet raspberry jammy flavoured topping, and a sprinkle of coconut all on a delicate golden biscuit that Aussies have loved for decades.

As well as the recipe, the biscuit size of our Iced VoVo has stayed the same in recent years."
