Arnold Schwarzenegger and Uma Thurman Have “Batman ”Reunion: 'Freeze and Ivy, Reunited'
The actors played villains together in the 1997 movie 'Batman & Robin'
Batman better watch out — Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy are joining forces.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Uma Thurman reunited and posed together for a new selfie, calling back to their villainous characters from the 1997 movie Batman & Robin. "Freeze and Ivy, reunited," the Terminator actor, 77, wrote on Instagram as he shared the photo on Saturday, Sept. 14. "Watch out, Batman."
Fans were thrilled to see Schwarzenegger and Thurman, 54, together again, 27 years after the Joel Schumacher-directed movie originally came out. "Allow me to break the ice," one fan wrote. "Alright everyone, chill," another joked, quoting the icy villain.
A third was grateful for the selfie. "Nostalgia is a strong feeling! Thank you for this Arnie!" they wrote.
Batman & Robin wasn't critically well-received — it currently has a 12 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The critical consensus from the movie site reads: "Joel Schumacher's tongue-in-cheek attitude hits an unbearable limit in Batman & Robin resulting in a frantic and mindless movie that's too jokey to care much for."

However, the movie was a star-studded affair, featuring George Clooney as Batman, Chris O'Donnell as Robin, Alicia Silverstone as Batgirl and Michael Gough as Alfred Pennyworth.

Clooney, 63, has been outspoken about his dislike for the movie. He even joked that he didn't want his wife, Amal Clooney, to see it. "There are certain films I just go, 'I want my wife to have some respect for me,' " he said in 2021.
Meanwhile, Danny DeVito (who played The Penguin in another Batman movie) is game for reprising his role alongside Schwarzenegger. "I don't think it's a bad idea because you got [Michael] Keaton, you got [Schwarzenegger], you got DeVito. We could do those same parts. Yeah, why not?” he told PEOPLE in April.

Earlier this year, another Batman reunion took place at the 2024 Academy Awards ceremony. Schwarzenegger and DeVito, 79, presented the Best Visual Effects trophy at the March ceremony.
"Arnold and I are presenting together, for a very obvious reason," DeVito said at the time. "We both tried to kill Batman," Schwarzenegger joked.
