Archie to reunite with Cambridges for 'first time in months' on first birthday
His royal cuteness Archie Mountbatten Windsor is celebrating a milestone in isolation as the adorable bub turns one today.
The royal baby will be celebrating with mum and dad Harry and Meghan in their new LA home, where the family have relocated after sensationally ditching their positions as senior members of the royal family.
Archie was last spotted in a portrait included in a new year wrap up video released by the Sussexes in January, and royal watchers are waiting with bated breath for a new glimpse at the pint-sized royal.
With nothing emerging just yet, fans have been given a glimpse into the royal plans underway for the big day, and it looks like even the monarchy is adjusting to new-age social distancing with flair.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl told OK Magazine the duo would be chatting with the English royals over Zoom, a call she says will be the first one in a few months.
“The Queen will wish him happy birthday this week via Zoom as will the Cambridge children,” she told the magazine.
“They haven’t seen their little cousin in months so they’ve been looking forward to seeing how much he’s grown.”
If true it would mean that Archie was unable to wish his cousin Charlotte happy returns on her big day which fell last week.
As active royals, Wills and Kate took to Instagram to share new photos of the now five-year-old which sparked a flurry of comparisons to supposed royal lookalikes.
As for Archie, well it seems the bub could be given the best belated birthday gift of all, a little brother or sister that the expert claims could be on the cards.
“A little brother or sister for Archie is very much on the agenda,” she said. “They seem to relish being busy and it really wouldn’t surprise me if we get a pregnancy announcement.”
It comes after a new book claims to lift the lid on a supposed rift between the cousin’s parents, revealing an altercation between Meghan and Kate may have sparked the split between the previously ‘fab four’.
Defying the buzz, however, Harry and Meghan have finally surfaced after months of flying under the radar, spotted out and about in their new home of LA.
The pair were spotted handing out food to the needy while decked out in protective gear in Los Angeles last month.
Now, they have announced they intend to release a tell-all memoir entitled Finding Freedom, a telling title given the pair’s rocky relationship with the British media, and eventual decision to move abroad.
Meghan is also rumoured to be relaunching her lifestyle website The Tig as the pair settle into their newly unfettered lifestyle.
