Harry and Meghan spotted in LA for first time since outbreak
Harry and Meghan have been spotted enjoying their new LA life for the first time since they quietly migrated from Canada to the US last month.
The pair were spotted out and about delivering food packages to the city’s needy during the pandemic lockdown.
A part of an initiative by Los Angeles-based nonprofit Project Angel Food, Harry and Meghan arrived in West Hollywood on Friday morning LA time.
At 11 am the pair arrived along with security detail to the Sierra Bonita Community Apartments as part of their participation in the initiative.
Harry was sporting a casual polo neck and jeans with trainers.
Wearing a blue bandana across his mask, he complied with the city’s latest coronavirus measures calling for faces to be covered in public, as did Meghan who wore a medical mask.
Meghan was similarly casual in a white button-up and black jeans with trainers, both keeping a low profile under their respective baseball caps.
With Meghan sporting a single disposable glove, the pair were keeping very conscious of social distancing and hygiene on the outing spotted on CCTV footage.
Leaving their detail to find the apartment solo, the pair can be seen searching the street for the correct house, Meghan referring to a map while carrying a food bag apiece.
In one moment Harry can be seen handing the bag to a gentleman, leaning across the open gate in a bid to maintain the recommended 1.5-metre distance.
The Daily Mail reports the pair spent two days volunteering with the charity this week, as coronavirus rips through the USA.
One resident told the publication that the duo did not formally introduce themselves, instead acting perfectly normal while delivering the food.
Harry and Meghan move to LA
Back in March, Harry and Meghan shocked fans when they made the move from Canada to the US in late March just as the virus was taking hold.
They weren’t the only ones caught off guard it seems, as President Donald Trump took to his Twitter account and said that Harry and Meghan Markle must pay for their own security if they move to the United States.
Since their arrival, the pair have announced the launch of their new charity, a replacement of Sussex Royal.
Seeming in good spirits, the former senior royals belied reports that Harry is finding life ‘‘a bit challenging’ in the city of angels that surfaced last week.
