Angelina Jolie is sharing a glimpse into how she spent the holidays.

The actress, 49, offered an update on her life weeks after she and her ex-husband Brad Pitt reached a settlement in their 8-year-long divorce. During Variety and Entertainment Tonight's 2025 Golden Globes, Jolie — who is nominated for her performance in Maria — told ET that she enjoyed a more lowkey holiday season this year.

“Just being home and being in pajamas,” she said. “[It] was nice. Just quiet.”

She laughed: “I rock pajamas!”

As for what she is looking forward to in the new year, Jolie said her hopes are simple.

“There's so many things that come to mind, but always just health — and health for the children and people you love,” she said.

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt, with whom she shares six children, in 2016 after two years of marriage and 12 years together. At the time, she claimed the Bullet Train star, 61, was abusive to her and their kids, leading to nearly a decade of legal battles.

“More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family," Jolie's lawyer James Simon told PEOPLE in a statement in December 2024. "This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over."

A source close to Jolie added, "She doesn’t speak ill of [Pitt] publicly or privately. She’s been trying hard to be light after a dark time."

Pitt was investigated but never charged in connection to Jolie’s allegations, and Jolie declined to press charges at the time. Since the filing "neither Jolie nor any of the children have ever stepped foot back in Miraval, which was their home until then," Jolie's lawyers have stated.

The pair came to a privacy agreement in 2017 after they had been locked in “strained” divorce negotiations centered on custody issues and trading harsh accusations in filings in Los Angeles Superior Court.

The majority of their children are now adults: Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Vivienne and Knox, now 16.

The exes, who had their divorce bifurcated, were declared legally single in 2019, but have continued to take legal action against one another relating to their shared $164 million French estate and winery, Château Miraval. That case, which is not connected to the divorce proceedings, is ongoing.
