Angelina Jolie Cozies Up in Cashmere Brunello Cucinelli Dress and Shawl With Naomi Watts at 2024 Telluride Film Festival
Angelina Jolie brought the quiet luxury trend to Telluride, Colo., during the city’s annual film festival on Saturday. The actress attended a screening of her new film, “Maria,” which debuted at the Venice Film Festival on Thursday.
Jolie selected a cashmere Brunello Cucinelli ensemble consisting of a plunging beige dress and a matching bolero. She added on large black sunglasses, diamond-encrusted hoop earrings and a pair of nude leather Roger Vivier pumps featuring buckle embellishments.

After directing dramas about Jackie Kennedy and Princess Diana, Pablo Larraín’s latest film, “Maria,” follows another famous woman from history: Maria Callas. Jolie portrays the legendary soprano during the final years of her life in 1970s Paris.
Callas’ life story is something out of the dramas she starred in. Much of her childhood was spent training, leading to a strained — and later, nonexistent — relationship with her mother. In love, Callas was also unlucky: her husband, Giovanni Battista Meneghini, stole her fortune in their divorce, while her lover of nine years, business magnate Aristotle Onassis, left her for Jackie Kennedy.
In Venice, Jolie also embraced neutral hues at the “Maria” red carpet premiere, opting for a custom Tamara Ralph ensemble consisting of an asymmetrical draped chiffon gown and a faux fur stole.
Last month, WWD exclusively revealed Jolie as Tom Ford Beauty’s first celebrity spokesmodel.

In new campaign imagery, Jolie models the brand’s hero Runway Lip Color shade, Scarlet Rouge. “It’s a beautiful color and texture,” the actress said via email. “A good red lip needs little else. It’s worn with intention. That was part of the discussion.”
After having a major moment in 2023, quiet luxury is here to stay, with labels like Dior, Carolina Herrera and Miu Miu showcasing refined and elevated basics. The minimalist aesthetic replaces ostentatious displays with subtle high-end staples.
